ME40 Autonomous survey in bathymetric application

Project Background:

The survey project needs to measure the depth of Jiangxinzhou shallow water area in Yangtze River. The survey shallow area is 50m to the bank and 4km long, in which are full of crushed stones underwater. It is impossible for working ship to survey in this area. Autonomous boat with low draft is perfect to operate in shallow area.

Project benefit
1. Labor-cost reduction. With ME40 autonomous survey boat, survey work can be easily operated by two persons without a group of workers.

2. Coverage. ME40 survey boat only with 25cm low draft ensure the survey in shallow water area which big working ship is not able to enter.

3. Accurate Survey Line. The survey line will be created by software automatically and high accuracy can be reached by smart control of autonomous boat under RTK GPS navigation.

4. Monitoring and data output. Video monitoring and ultrasonic obstacle avoidance
make sure safe operation on water, survey data can be stored and processed in the software.

High accuracy survey lines and full coverage of shallow water brings great convenience and benefit
to survey work. USV (Unmanned Surface Vehicle) as new efficient tool applied in hydrographicsurvey has been accepted by more and more survey operation.
